Tulsi Chai & Samosa

Tulsi Chai & Samosa, Delhi
Vasant Vihar, South Delhi
Yummy green chutni

A Chai stall in South Delhi, in Vasant Vihar! never thought il see one, never mind the number of visits that are made to Tulsi. Tulsi is the famous chai / samosa / cigaratte walla who is situated right next to our office. There are a few other chai wallahs in the vicinity, but Tulsi always is the 'popular' one. On a regular day (when its not less than 8 degrees and not more than 38 degrees), Tulsi is our solution to the following.

the day your maid decides to bunk and you have not had breakfast
all day chai breaks (far far away from that machine chai which other wise is your only other option)
5pm freshly made, soaked in oil, 500 calories samosa times - where the green chutni is ten times better than the samosa. Dont think I know of anyone who does not like his samosas/ the green chutni.
Maggi & Aloo bread times - where you are convincing yourself that the maggi/ aloo bread is way less fattening than the samosa

There are samosa parties, chutnis get parcelled home, chai & mathari sessions, masala maggi, Tulsi has often been our savior ;)

About Me

My photo
Some people are born to sing, some to dance, some to play a sport. well I believe that I was born to eat, I am serious. For starters I am always hungry. Well i love food, i just wished it would not add calories. Anyways, if I am at home, id prefer my tais kanda poha and pulao, Moms rasam rice, aloo sabji, dads dal and My fav raita. Outside I have lots of favorites - Big Chill in delhi for Italian, Tomatoes in Ahmedabad for Mexican, Indian could be Vishwa Samrat in Mumbai. Some people eat to live, I think I def live to eat. I might be vegetarian who hates paneer, but i still have a lot of options, cause there are so many eateries in the world and so much to sample! So this blog is an attempt to share my food experiences, my likes, dislikes. I also travel a little bit, so hoping to add listings from different cities. It would be great, if you could drop a line, add your recommendations or comments. Cheers!
