Avoidable Amici

Select City Walk/ Khan Market

Review – Avoid, overpriced, waste of time, money and effort of eating!

Given I am thrashing this place, so heading straight to the food. Starters ordered the Basil and Tomato Bruschetta, which was a regular one, decent, nothing worth mentioning, or even worth ordering.

Coming to the food, we had the Al funghi (with mushrooms, tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese), and the Veg chilli pizza. I really don’t know anyone else who makes it this way, but this chilli signature amici pizza had deep fried paneer as a topping. For starters it not only spoiled the taste but it also did not blend in. Also none of the other veggies were cooked.

So there is the thin crust, which makes it easier to bite, but a good part of the edges are burnt, some are bland with no seasoning or sauce. It was like eating the edges of a Khari biscuit.

Rahela & Bhakti giving dirty looks, am guessing its towards the food

Well, the only good part – their shakes and smoothies. Ordered the blueberry shake and the broken brownie shake, both were pretty decent. The next good part was the service – kudos to that!

The restaurant is an open one at select city walk, so can get a bit chaotic. Would recommend it only for shakes, when you want to take a little break from all that heavy duty shopping!

This place also serves shakes, salads, sandwiches, pastas, burgers, but again over priced. The salads (390) shakes (160), sandwiches ( 340), burgers (390). Average meal for two is about 1000.

About Me

My photo
Some people are born to sing, some to dance, some to play a sport. well I believe that I was born to eat, I am serious. For starters I am always hungry. Well i love food, i just wished it would not add calories. Anyways, if I am at home, id prefer my tais kanda poha and pulao, Moms rasam rice, aloo sabji, dads dal and My fav raita. Outside I have lots of favorites - Big Chill in delhi for Italian, Tomatoes in Ahmedabad for Mexican, Indian could be Vishwa Samrat in Mumbai. Some people eat to live, I think I def live to eat. I might be vegetarian who hates paneer, but i still have a lot of options, cause there are so many eateries in the world and so much to sample! So this blog is an attempt to share my food experiences, my likes, dislikes. I also travel a little bit, so hoping to add listings from different cities. It would be great, if you could drop a line, add your recommendations or comments. Cheers!
